The “Elevate T3” project is part of Chicago’s long-term effort to upgrade and expand O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 3. As a strategic partner with Hill Mechanical, Autumn Construction Services was awarded the mechanical piping work. This includes new heating, cooling, and air systems for a 10,000 sq. ft. expansion of the terminal’s passenger level, designated for commercial, amenity, and expanded hold room spaces at Gates K1 and L2A. Additionally, the project will replace all air handling units with energy-efficient systems, upgrading comfort heating and cooling for all terminal levels, along with secondary heating equipment and infrastructure.
Other improvements to Terminal 3 include a reconfigured baggage claim, upgrades to the baggage handling facility, expanded and renovated restroom facilities, and a widened passenger corridor between Concourses K and L.
Autumn is excited to work alongside Hill Mechanical, Clark Construction, and W.E. O’Neil Construction on this project, which is supported by $90 million in grant funding from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
