PROJECT: John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, County-wide JOC Mechanical Construction

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

CONSTRUCTION START: September 2017

COMPLETION: December 2017

Autumn Construction performed mechanical upgrades at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County as part of the County-wide JOC Mechanical Construction contract held by Paschen-Autumn Joint Venture. Our mechanical construction team installed new shut-off valves for the steam system and replaced steam control valves for 15 separate steam systems. This work was a crucial component of the mechanical systems capital renewal and replacement program for the heating and power plant at Stroger Hospital. Multiple coordinated steam system shutdowns were necessary to guarantee that steam services remained fully operational for the hospital.
