Our History.
Autumn was established by Susan Nelson in 1995 to provide mechanical systems expertise and program/project management to Chicago-area owners and contractors. Initially, Autumn’s MEP systems expertise helped clients develop and manage new construction projects and/or building systems renovation programs.
Autumn expanded the capacity of its Program and Construction Management department and responsibilities as a result of the successful selection of Chicago Airport Resources Enterprise Joint Venture (CARE JV) to manage the City of Chicago Department of Aviation’s Capital Improvement Program at Midway and O’Hare International Airports. Autumn is a partner firm in CARE JV.
Expanded services to include mechanical contracting, systems commissioning, and sustainability services in 2009. We self-perform mechanical piping with qualified union tradespeople.
Expanded services in 2013 to include HVAC service to provide maintenance and repair to the systems we installed to obtain maximum efficiencies for our clients.
Expanded services in 2018 to include plumbing systems services, general trades painting, carpentry, and laborers.
