OWNER: Chicago Airlines Terminal Consortium (CATCo)

CLIENT: Chicago Airlines Terminal Consortium

PROGRAM MANAGER: J.A. Watts, Inc.

PROJECT: Communication Room and Baggage Control Room HVAC Upgrades

LOCATION:  O’Hare International Airport - International Terminal 5

CONSTRUCTION START: April 2023

COMPLETION: March 2024

Autumn Construction served as the Prime Contractor tasked with installing new and upgraded cooling systems for both the CATCo baggage control room and the main communications room. In the CATCo baggage control room, Autumn implemented a variable flow refrigerant system to provide comfort cooling for the back office space. Additionally, they installed a new 5-ton Liebert data room cooling system specifically for the baggage control communications room.

For the CATCo main communications room, Autumn installed two (2) new 30-ton Liebert dual cool data room systems equipped with a remote condenser and glycol pump package. These new systems replaced outdated ones seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted cooling for the communications room. The scope of work also encompassed modifications and repairs to the computer floor, as well as connections for electrical and temperature control systems. HVAC ventilation and systems balancing were also part of Autumn's responsibilities.

The Autumn field team demonstrated excellent coordination with the Owner, Client, and Airport Operations throughout the project, resulting in its successful completion.
