North Chicago Community High School and A.J. Katzenmaier Academy Renovations

Autumn Construction Services was selected as the prime mechanical contractor by Tandem Construction Inc. for the summer 2022 renovations at two North Chicago District #187 schools. At North Chicago Community High School, the work includes mechanical revisions, new LED light fixtures and lay-in ceiling systems, roofing, and new architectural finishes. Autumn’s mechanical work includes new rooftop and make-up air units for heating and cooling, 3 new variable refrigerant systems to replace the heating and cooling of school office administration spaces, new classroom ventilation units, and miscellaneous mechanical replacements.  Mechanical work at A.J. Katzenmaier (AJK) Academy is limited to fan replacements and minor piping revisions. The Autumn construction team includes Any Temperature for Ventilation work and JCI for temperature controls.  Coordination, equipment fabrication, and deliveries started in March 2022.

2023 Update: Thanks to our partners Any Temperature HVAC, Johnson Controls, and Luse Insulation, we have completed additional mechanical renovations at North Chicago Community High School. With variable-flow refrigerant systems and brand-new rooftop and make-up air units, every classroom, administration office, and assembly area is now equipped with heating and cooling systems to ensure maximum comfort and productivity.
