Niños Heroes Elementary Academic Center Mechanical Piping

Cher-Mar Mechanical Insulation was completing a re-insulation dual temperature heating/cooling and condensate piping systems project for the Niños Heroes Elementary Academic Center. During this project, it was discovered that existing piping had rusted and corroded to the point that systems were leaking and non-functional. CPS requested the project team immediately replace existing piping in the 3-story school. The team needed to complete the repairs prior to the mid-August start of the 2022-23 school year.

Autumn quickly mobilized and worked 7-days per week to remove and replace over 2,500 LF of piping located above ceilings and behind walls. Cher-Mar followed close behind insulating the piping. All completed systems were ready to operate in time for the 8/22/22 first day of school. Additional work in other building areas will continue during the winter break.
