Autumn Construction Services Inc. provided mechanical renovation work to remove and replace a major data center cooling unit located in the City-County building in Chicago. With no large interior elevators, the computer room air conditioning unit had to be disassembled offsite, delivered to the building, then re-assembled once the unit was in place on the 7th floor. The condensing unit for the roof was craned up to the roof in the early morning hours on a Saturday. The project’s success resulted from extensive pre-planning on construction activities, and close coordination between the Paschen-Autumn team and Cook County building operational staff.
