Autumn Construction Services, Inc. served as a full service mechanical contractor during the construction of the $54 Million Multi-Modal Facility - Consolidated Rental Car (CONRAC) Facility at O’Hare International Airport. Our work scope included the purchase and setting boilers, air handling units, cooling towers, and pumps. Autumn also installed over 45 miles (250,000 ft) of underfloor radiant tubing throughout the structure to prevent ice from forming, to keep driveways clear, and to melt any snow plowed from the roof. This new 3 million sq. ft. facility was part of the O’Hare Modernization Program. Autumn was subcontracted and supported by the prime mechanical contractor, Helm Mechanical, Inc. Autumn also provided x-ray quality, welded fuel distribution piping throughout the facility as a subcontract to Stenstrom.
