Custom HVAC Overhaul at Village Church of Oak Park

OWNER & CLIENT: Village Church of Oak Park
PROJECT: Village Church of Oak Park HVAC & Mechanical Renovations
LOCATION: 911 S Taylor St. Oak Park, IL 60304
DESIGN & PERMITTING: July 2021
CONSTRUCTION START: October 2021
COMPLETION: October 2022

Autumn Construction Services was selected by the Village Church of Oak Park to renovate the century-year-old church grounds, recently purchased in 2021. The two-story 6,500-square-foot facility includes a worship chapel, fellowship hall, meeting spaces, nursery, cafeteria, offices, and toilet rooms. Autumn was contracted to complete a factility-wide HVAC system overhaul.

We brought in our industry partner, RTM Engineering Consultants, to provide design and permitting drawings for the mechanical renovations. The roof required a new structural platform to support three roof top units (RTUs) and additional HVAC equipment. In late 2021, piping and ductwork installation was expedited so that when the RTU fabrication was completed in April 2022, the equipment could be installed and put into service in time to provide summer cooling. Autumn’s work included the installation of all new mechanical piping and equipment, rooftop units, split systems, HVAC ventilation, and temperature controls.

Thank you to our previous client and Village Church congregation member, the Owner of Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp, Kurt Schweig, for referring Autumn to this project.
