Autumn Construction Services, Inc. is providing Owner’s Representative Services to coordinate the design and construction of the O’Hare Airport’s proposed Intermodal Facility which consists of the construction of the three (3) million plus square foot Consolidated Rental Car Facility, Public Parking, and extension of the Automated Train System (ATS) from Parking Lot E to the new CRCF. Autumn’s staff previous involvement in the successful construction of Midway Airport’s CRCF and experience with a multitude of Capital Improvement projects at O’Hare will enable Autumn to apply specialty knowledge and a pragmatic perspective to the services rendered.
The LEED© Silver CRCF consisted of a multipurpose five-story pre-cast concrete elevated parking structure which included office spaces, operations and MEP control rooms, and a multi-agency customer service area. In addition, the facility included a separate onsite state-of-the-industry Quick Turnaround Area consisting of a single story building with 9 car wash bays and rental agency office space and an adjacent 36 pump fueling and servicing station. Renewable energy is provided by photovoltaic solar panels and wind turbines. The facility is designed to operate at 23% reduction in energy. The project team, led by Tim Morgan, completed the multi-stakeholder facility under budget and provided a first-class facility. Autumn Construction Services, Inc. provided the construction management and construction administration services for the $54 million dollar multi-stakeholder facility. Autumn also served as the CxA, performing the prerequisite and enhanced LEED Commissioning services.
